ACADEMIC TOOLBOX NEWLETTER DECEMBER 2009

Almost 2010, and it seems like we were just talking Y2K and the new millennium only a few days ago.  Well, I guess that is life.  Going to try and keep it short this month.  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  We had only 6 people at our table, which was unusual but very relaxing and fun.  We are going to open the first 3 Sundays of December to help everyone get their shopping done.  Our hours will be from Noon until 5 PM.  Hope that helps you with your scheduling.  Remember, during this hectic time the real reason for the season, and that is to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  We sometimes forget and get caught up in “life” and all of its demands.  If you start to feel down think about the ones that are in worse positions, the homeless, the spouses and children of the police officers killed trying to serve us, the ones without friends, the bullies and the bullied.  You can go on and on, so just count your blessings and try to be a blessing to at least one person each day.  End of sermon lets talk some happenings here at the toolbox.

DRAWING WINNERS

Three winners this month to help with that shopping!  Winner of $25 worth of gift buying Kathleen Ansley of Wenatchee, winner of $50 Gala Phillips of Cashmere, and the big $100 winner is Peggy Kinnear of Leavenworth.  Congratulations to all three and thank you for your support.

JUST IN

Rock tumbler and polishing kit.  Not a toy but a product from a commercial supplier that is plug in electric, not battery or transformer powered, has a rubber drum to help with keeping the tumbling sound down and the first set of rocks and abrasive compounds.  We have had many requests for these and they are finally here.

Webkinz Zumbuddys are here and going fast from our limited supply.  The Koala is the December pet of the month and the Peppermint Puppy is the special animal for Christmas.  We still have some reindeer from last year, the Ribbon Unicorn, Llama, Blufadoddle, Rottweiler, and Shark all were on our last order in plus the Signiture Cheetah.  In a few days to a week we will have our last order before Christmas and it will include two Signiture pets, the Penguin and the Cocker Spaniel.  Also coming is the Webkinz Junior pet Brown Monkey.  Regular Webkinz includes Artic Fox, Moose, Baby Penguin, Daisy Tortoise, Bottlenose Dolphin, and the January Pet of the Month – the Schnauzer.
