Academic Toolbox November 2011 Newsletter

Hello to all and hello to colder days all of a sudden.  It is time to start thinking of the holidays, although I will never like seeing Christmas being pushed in the stores before Halloween.  Call me old fashioned.  Come celebrate Neighborhood Toy Store Day with us on Saturday.  L-Bow the clown will be doing balloons for the kids, juggling, and just clowning around.  He will give juggling lessons at 11, 1, & 3.  The first 70 participants will each receive a free set of juggling balls.  We will be demonstrating games, doing some crafts, learning about chocolates with CarriLee Farris of Dove chocolates.  In support of the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society we will be asking for a donation of a bag of dog or cat food.  In exchange you will receive a 10% discount on your entire purchase.  Great time to get started on your holiday shopping and help the homeless animals.  We are hoping to have a representative from the shelter here also.  They announced a shortage of kitten food last week and in discussion said they like the Purina kitten food in the yellow bag.  We will accept others, the kitten food is just an immediate need.

DRAWING WINNER

Our frequent shopper card drawing winner is Gail Gilbert, congratulations!   That is $25 to spend in the store, a thank you for being a faithful customer.  Remember next month we will announce 3 winners.  A $25, $50, and $100 card will be drawn to help with Christmas shopping.

NEW OPPORTUNITY

Now that we are adding more toys to the selection we have decided to start a BIRTHDAY CLUB We will have registrations available at the store starting Saturday.  Registrations must be completed at the store, must include mailing address, and birthday.  Like any information given to us in the past, it will not be shared with anyone.  Participants will receive a birthday card and a ten dollar store certificate.  Intended for 2nd birthday and later.
