ACADEMIC TOOLBOX NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2008
NEW PRESIDENT AND OTHER RAMBLINGS
The election is finally over. Hopefully, America can now move on without all the mudslinging, rhetoric, and lies that were graciously provided by both sides at most all levels. It is encouraging though to see how many new voters went to the polls and how many of them were younger. Had a visit from the Grandkids from Vancouver. We had fun carving pumpkins, playing games, and helping with homework. Kian is a 2nd grader and is doing well with his reading and math. His little sis Holly has learned English quite well and amazed us with some of her comments. She could also be the siren on her daddy’s fire truck. Of course, they wore me out enough that I had a great cold and my nose looks like Sharon beat me up again. Speaking of Sharon, I’m writing this today because my bride of 40 years is off celebrating her birthday, #39 I think! An apology to Heather who asked us to share some grandchildren pictures – they will have to wait till next month.
