August Toolbox Newsletter

Summer Greetings to all.. Hope this finds everyone having a great relaxing summer as usual it is flying by!! It’s time to start thinking back to school for educators and students. Before I begin here’s a short conversation my daughter had with Grandson Kian.  They are out BTS shopping and Tammy says to Kian, “do you need a cover for your text books”? And Kian replies with, “Oh do I get a “texting book” in 5th grade”?  My how meaning of words change.

FYI, we have been able to bring in all the supplies that Eastmont students will be required to have on the first day of school. We have created bags for each class list and one price for each bag. Prices do vary per grade. So Eastmont parents, stop in and pick up your child’s bag. One stop shop, as they say.  I should add though we DO NOT include the backpack as we don’t sell backpacks.

I won’t ramble on about our summer just to say we had a very busy July with grandkids visits, helping with (actually heading up) VBS and gearing up for BTS here at the store.

We look forward to seeing our teachers and hope to help them in every possible way.

We have some great new bulletin boards sets, trims, stickers and much more.

Dwight & I will be heading over to Seattle for the Toy & Gift show.  We will continue to look for new toy lines.  If you have any suggestions to what kind of toys or games you would like to see us carry please let us know.  We are open to suggestions.

Serve Wenatchee LAST CALL.

Bring down your gently used clothing for the Serve Wenatchee Back to School Clothing drive.  Special thanks to Pastor Bob for picking up the first load.

NEW GAMES

Had the opportunity to play 8 new games from the Blue Orange Company.  Ordered 6 of them as they were really good.  Two of them are in the little round tins like the Spot It game that was the big hit last year.  They should be here by the end of the month.  Watch for details on Facebook.

POSTER SALE

The Trend/Argus motivational posters that are on the spinning rack in the front corner of the store are on special this month.  Buy any 2 and get the 3rd one free.  Most are probably for forth grade and up range.

NEW FROM PRESCHOOL PREP

The Preschool Prep company has new videos out for phonics.   Two of the three are here along with some new books that compliment their “Meet the Sight Word” DVD’s.  We have sample videos you can watch in our homeschool room.  They have won many awards with their products.

GREEN TOYS

Just a reminder that the Green Toy line is Made in America, dishwasher safe, and made of recycled milk jugs.  Trucks, stackers, dishes, blocks, plant kits, and a sand & water tugboat.
