Academic Toolbox June Newsletter 2011

Well today (Saturday) finally feels like a summer day.  You have to wonder if this is the real deal and summer has finally landed or is it just another fake; pretending to be summer.

Anyway, the one thing we know for sure is that the school year is just about over. In checking the various school calendars, HS graduation took place last night with more next weekend.  Congratulations to all the graduates, we wish you all a very successful future!!

Thank you to all educators and students, we know you all worked very hard to get to where you are today!  We wish you all a fun filled, safe and relaxing summer.  ENJOY!

If you are traveling, camping or just hanging at home (high gas prices may be keeping some us closer to home!) we have an array of travel games, books, and games.  One item we haven’t had in awhile, but are now in stock, are the 2011 Highlights Hidden Pictures. Volume 1-4 and My First Hidden Pictures books for the preschool age too.

We have received our Back To School orders from Carson, TCR, CTP and a few others.  So teachers when you are ready to shop, we will be ready for you! It’s anniversary time for the Academic Toolbox, in observance of our 12th birthday; during the week of June 13th we will give a 12% discount on ALL purchases!!  The desk calendars should be arriving anytime too.  As much as we Do not want to, we are going to charge $2.00 per calendar, this will help defray the cost of shipping which costs an “arm and a leg”!!  We apologize for the charge as we realize budgets are tight for all but it was a choice of charging or not bringing them in at all!  We felt if was worth the charge as we know many of you do like the calendars and might be sad if we didn’t have them in stock.

We will be taking a few days off and heading down to Vancouver, on Thursday. We will attend Kian’s piano recital & a few school related activities. Tammy thinks I am going to Zumba with her too.   She shared with us that while dining out the other night Dad asked Kian how his ribs were and he replied with “my ribs (rubbing his rib cage) are just fine, thanks for asking Dad!!” I might add that Kyle was actually asking if his barbecued ribs were good!!  (And Dwight says “A chip off the old Papa”)

NEW SUMMER BOOK

Just another reminder that we do have the Summer Bridge books and also a new one called “Summer Fit”.  This book is very similar to Summer Bridge with emphasis on fitness, nutrition and Values.

This month our drawing winner for $25 of product is Erin Stitt.  Congratulations to her.
