Academic Toolbox May Newsletter
May greetings to all. Well, did you miss us last month? We missed writing the newsletter, or I missed writing as Dwight was in Vegas with the boys, celebrating Cody’s 21st birthday. They said they had a great time!
Last month, Dwight attended the Family Math Night at Osborn Elementary. Thank you for the invite, it is always fun to interact with students and parents and have the opportunity to let the community know that we are here. I also attended a special celebration at Rock Island Elementary as they received the National Blue Ribbon award. Again it was fun to witness the excitement from students, staff and parents on receiving this special award. Congrats Rock Island, we’re proud of you!
I know there are other schools who have received various awards and recognition for a job well done and we salute you!!
SUMMER BRIDGE ACTIVITY
Summer Bridge books are now in stock. This year Carson-Dellosa introduced Summer Bridge activities card sets. The cards are filled with mind-bending, rib-tickling brain boosting fun. Each boxed set (graded just like the books) includes two decks of 79 full-color cards filled with jokes, math, fun facts, language arts, word play, picture puzzles, and mind-bogglers. This is another way to help keep the young brains active and learning during the summer.
RECOGNITION
The end of the year seems to be approaching and a reminder that we have a variety of awards & certificates for those special achievements. We also have the Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten certificates and graduation crowns as well.

Also one chart that is electronic that you can use with their cards or make your own to cover any subject.
