ACADEMIC TOOLBOX NEWSLETTER MARCH 2008

Hello Everyone,

Wow, spring is just about here.  It seemed like such a long winter this year with all the gloomy days.  In spite of the gloom you still came to see us and we THANK YOU!

A lot to cover in this issue and we are already a week behind.

FIRST THIS MONTHS WINNER

The answer is Carmen Fretwell from Cashmere.  She wins $25 for having her redeemed frequent shopper card drawn this month.  Congratulations!

DID YOU KNOW?

Maine is the only state whose name is just one syllable.

PERSONAL STUFF

Visited my son in Bellingham the last of February and helped him repair his fence that the wind had blown partially down.  We visited a Chuck E. Cheese as a reward for the grandson, Marley, having done well for a month.  I can say now that I can squeak my ABC's.  Pretty loud place but the kids had lots of fun.  Stopped in to visit and share ideas with the good folk at Launching Success in Bellingham.  Then stopped in Arlington to see the School Box, which is a tutoring service that has started a store.  Decided to stay on highway 9 till I hit #2 but somehow ended up in Redmond so came home over Snoqualmie, which made a long trip even longer.  Sharon just got back from our daughter's in Vancouver.  I missed her but I think the store missed her as much as we had a great deal of freight delivered.  Our kids are throwing us a 40th wedding anniversary party this summer

and I think Sharon found out some "secret" stuff.

One thing I want to share is that Shari Lamar a Manson teacher and friend of our daughter has had good news on her first cancer scan, the first since her treatment started.  Please continue your positive thoughts and prayers for her and at least three other teachers I know in the area that are dealing with cancer.
